5 reasons why bubbles aren't just for special occasions
For many people, bubbles are something reserved for special occasions. Births, Weddings, Graduations, New Year's Eve etc. As a bubble enthusiast this makes me sad. I of course agree that cava (or champagne for that matter) is special; in fact I think it's the most special drink in the world. But for me that's exactly why we should drink it as often as possible. In the same way, we should spend as much time as possible doing other things we love.
In this post you will find 5 reasons why bubbles are not just for special occasions:
It's important to celebrate the simple pleasures in life.
While big milestones are certainly worthy of celebration, it's the everyday moments that truly make up our lives; the midweek happy hours with colleagues, Sunday afternoon picnics in the park, or Friday nights spent on the couch with takeaway and Alone in the Wilderness or The X Factor. Sure, these moments may not be as exciting or as "sexy" as the big events, but they're the simple pleasures that keep us going between the big events. (Corona made that very clear). Plus, it's the simple pleasures that make us live a little bit every day. When you look at it that way, it suddenly makes sense that these moments should of course be celebrated too.
You can get a good bottle of Cava from 100 kr.
I'll be the first to admit that people who claim that Champagne is too expensive to enjoy on a Wednesday have a point. Unless you're wealthy, it quickly becomes an expensive pleasure. That said, there are a lot of great alternatives among sparkling wines. Cava is my favorite, but there are others. In fact, I'd choose a glass of Cava over a glass of Champagne any day.
Bubbles are fascinating
If you're the type who happily pays 200-400kr for yoga on a regular basis because it calms you down, I have great news: watching bubbles rise to the surface in a glass of sparkling wine has exactly the same calming effect. And for what you pay for your yoga, you can get my 3 bottles of good cava for.
Bubbles make everything more sophisticated
Seriously, add a glass of cava to any ordinary experience and it instantly transforms it into a delicious, sophisticated happening. Tuesday night leftovers turn into Michelin-starred dining and pre-flight drinks at an airport bar into the pure luxury of a first-class airline lounge. I once went so far as to buy a bottle of cava from Aldi, thinking that maybe this would be the first time that cava wasn't actually a good idea. I was wrong. It was a good idea. Because cava always is. It always, without exception, makes everything better.
Life is just too short to skimp on the little pleasures. And you never know what's in store for you. So it's important to seize the moments you have and spend them as happily as possible. I mean, do you really want to look back on your days and wish you had enjoyed more of something you love? Do you? Why don't you pour yourself a nice glass of Cava and think about it.
